Tavern on the Green & The Russian Tea Room

During the years 1984 to 2000, Warner Leroy was my Medici. When he first called, I thought he wanted some decorative painting. He said, “yes, or a t-shirt”. He was crazy like a person who was a child on the set of The Wizard of Oz was crazy. He would call and say, “Can we do paper lanterns? Or a giant bronze bear? Or a candy wrapper? Or a textile design? Or 40 painting reproductions? Or an immersive jazz age environment?”
